Well it’s that time of year again! The one where I start planning and thinking about all the lovely holiday decorations I’m going to make and decorate my home with.
I can see it now . . . my mantel will be filled with holiday boughs cut from my very own pine trees. My tree will be color coordinated with the latest and greatest trends from star to skirt. Every room in my house will be decked out with holiday cheer. I will lovingly make holiday cards for all my family and friends. I will spend time wrapping gifts, making each one special and unique. And the homemade treats and gifts that I’ll be sharing with family and friends will be absolutely divine.
A girl can dream can’t she!?!?
Luckily I can keep my scheming and dreaming going with all the great ideas found in Holiday Cards & More Vol. 7. Maybe if I just focus on gift wraps, I can actually get something done this year. You’re welcome to come along as I peruse the issue for ideas.
Oh, here’s a good one! Clothes Instead Tag found on p. 97 by Terri Davenport. Nothing like tricking your kids who hope and wish all year for that one toy they want so badly!
Wait a sec! Check out Jaclyn Miller’s Circle Garland Wrap on p. 109. Now that’s something I could get into doing. I can start saving all my paper bags from grocery shopping and use them as wrapping. I love the kraft look and I could make each present just a little different by trying out different shapes and designs. Plus I can save money on buying Christmas wrapping paper. Bonus!
What?! Did you see the Zippered Gift Card Holder by Betsy Veldman on p. 115? This would be perfect for my teenagers who are so hard to shop for and only want money or gift cards. The zippered closure is a great idea—it’s a built-in no peeking device!
There are endless ideas in this magazine. I hope you are as inspired as I am to get started on your holiday décor and gift giving. I’d love to hear what’s caught your eye. Leave a comment and I’ll pick a winner to get treat containers and other projects that were published in this issue along with a copy of the magazine! All comments must be received by Monday, September 24th at 5 pm MDT.
Dreaming of holiday gift giving,

Love the gift card holder. I am in awe of the talents of Betsy Veldman – everything that she does is amazingly beautiful!
Love all these tags, however, am totally intrigued with Betsy’s zipper tag card holder!
