Maptastic Projects!

Holly blog shot 221x300 Maptastic Projects!

Holly Anderson

Do you remember Cath’s column all about maps in the January/February 2012 issue of Paper Crafts? No? Maps were used in a variety of clever ways to create sweet cards and gifts.

Do you need a little refresher? Alright. Here’s my favorite from the column! Take a look at this awesome flower with petals cut out from an atlas! I’m not gonna lie. I bought a new road atlas when I went home to Texas for Christmas but made sure to keep my old road atlas for projects such as this cute one! (The atlas wasn’t of much use at that point anyway; New Mexico was totally missing!)

Well, since Cath explored the world of maps back then, we’ve seen maps in paper-crafted projects all over! From backgrounds to embellishments to borders, alpha stickers, and so much more, it’s grown into quite a big part of the paper-crafting world!

And we’ve finally featured maps in the September/October 2012 issue in our Maptastic! feature.

We spent Labor Day with my husband’s aunt who was celebrating her 90th birthday. It was a lovely day of reminiscing, looking through old photos, telling family stories, etc. We had a wonderful time!

Love all the map products out there!! I’m a gypsy at heart…having been born on the road might have something to do with it!! We just moved back to Montana from Oregon and had friends over. It was perfect!!

  4. AngieB says:

We had a fabulous weekend! My DH took the day off on Monday so we had a nice 3 day weekend. We went to a hot air balloon glow on Friday night. Our daughter had a school commitment on Sat. and Sunday was church and the $1.00 movie! On Monday our kids (teens – old enough to stay at home) were worn out so DH and I went on a lunch date! Super fun! I love to eat out!
