Let’s take a minor timeout from all the card-making posts and talk about a little thing called Instragram.
Instagram photos make me smile.
If you own a smart phone, chances are you’ve heard about Instagram. It’s is a free photo-sharing program and social networking site that is all the rage right now. In fact, over 100 million people use this app to capture their day-to-day life.
One of the distinctive features of Instagram is that it confines photos to a square shape, similar to a Polaroid. Once a picture is taken, users can choose from a variety of digital filters and frames to create truly unique images. From this point, the photo can be uploaded and shared with the world. Just like other social networking sites, users can “follow” their friends and family to stay connected.
But Instagram isn’t just for social networking! I love using photos I’ve created with the program to create photo cards, gift tags, and home decor pieces. They’re perfect to include in scrapbooking layouts as well!
One of the things I really love about Instagram are all of the photos shared that capture the ordinary—things you might otherwise never think to snap a photo of.
Take this vintage typewriter, for example.

Photos like these are perfect to add to an office-themed card!
I also created this 4×4 mini album as a baby shower gift. It’s small square size is perfect for displaying all of the Instagrammed photos of their baby’s first year.

These Lawn Fawn stamps are ADORABLE!!! I think polaroid cameras are really neat & could be used in so many different ways. These stamp sets would be a great addition to my collection
