Holly Anderson

Good mornin’ to ya, and welcome! As you know, this week we are talking about Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks. This issue is stocked with creative ideas and inspiration for the crafter who is ready to break out and do something new and different!

And now that you know a little about Paper Crafting Tips & Tricks from Jennifer’s post  yesterday, I thought I’d share with you one of my favorite sections from the issue: DIY Stamping!

These are the projects you see in the background on the cover of the issue and on p. 116! Jocelyn Olson shares six ways she stamped with items she found around her home.

Can you guess what has been stamped on these two projects?

Each of these squares were made with homemade stamps using these items:

  1. Celery
  2. Potato
  3. Metal nuts
  4. Sponge
  5. Metal caned chair
  6. Wine cork

Try to match the square with its stamp as you look at them!

You could make a stamp out of anything. Since fall is in the air and I’ve been enjoying the weather and beauty of the season, I chose to use leaves as stamps! Yep, I just picked some up from outside and went to town with a fall color palette.

How would you like to win? Just comment below telling me which of Jocelyn’s squares go with which handmade stamp, and I’ll pick one person with all correct answers to receive a copy of the issue, a copy of its predecessor (Paper Crafts 101), and a selection of ink pads for you to stamp with. All comments must be received by Thursday, October 25th at 5 pm MDT.

Thanks for checking in, and make sure to check out what’s going on at the Moxie Fab World this week too!
