World Card Making Day: Susan

It’s no secret that I like to make cards. My family and friends have come to expect a little something handmade by me on their birthdays or for special occasions, and I’m happy to oblige. Though I’m only one of four children, I have an endless array of cousins and friends around the globe. I like to touch base with them each year, and Christmas is the perfect time to do that.

Since World Card Making Day is the absolute perfect time to craft up a bunch of Christmas greetings, I’ll be humming some festive music while I create today.

Newborn King Card by Susan R. Opel

For this card, I went WAYYYYY outta my comfort zone and stamped an image. I usually only do sentiments, but I figure World Card Making Day is a great chance to try something new, huh?

This gorgeous sentiment and image of the Holy family is from the A Muse Studio 2012 Holiday Catalog. And the patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Random collection—one of my faves. And satin ribbon and pearls? Yes, they make my heart happy.

And for a giveaway! Comment below telling me which embellishments make your heart happy for a chance at a mystery box! Please leave your comment by Monday, October 8th at 5 pm MDT.

Now go make some cards, friend!
