It’s no secret that I like to make cards. My family and friends have come to expect a little something handmade by me on their birthdays or for special occasions, and I’m happy to oblige. Though I’m only one of four children, I have an endless array of cousins and friends around the globe. I like to touch base with them each year, and Christmas is the perfect time to do that.
Since World Card Making Day is the absolute perfect time to craft up a bunch of Christmas greetings, I’ll be humming some festive music while I create today.

Newborn King Card by Susan R. Opel
For this card, I went WAYYYYY outta my comfort zone and stamped an image. I usually only do sentiments, but I figure World Card Making Day is a great chance to try something new, huh?
This gorgeous sentiment and image of the Holy family is from the A Muse Studio 2012 Holiday Catalog. And the patterned paper is from the Crate Paper Random collection—one of my faves. And satin ribbon and pearls? Yes, they make my heart happy.
And for a giveaway! Comment below telling me which embellishments make your heart happy for a chance at a mystery box! Please leave your comment by Monday, October 8th at 5 pm MDT.
Now go make some cards, friend!

I like to use ribbons, 3D embellishments and stickers. Thanks for the giveaway!
LOVE the opposing colors and the non-holiday color but with a holiday theme. Very nice!
Personally, I cant say no to glitter, or just a touch of stickles. Ahhh! perfect!
Baker’s twine is my favorite embellishment, lately… Thank you for the card showcase, I love seeing what you come up with!!! (Thanks, also, for the chance to win an exciting Mystery Box!!!)
I don’t have one standard, go to embellishment. For me it just depends because I love to play too much to limit myself.
Very nice card. I think my fav embellishment is flowers, but I also like ribbon and rhinestones.

Stickers, stickers and then some more stickers
I love flowers and gems!
I’m using stickpins with little leaves on the top and some chipboard leaves for a set of Thanksgiving cards, so those are my faves right now.
My favorite embellies are bling! Anything glittery!
I love pearls, although they are not on every card I make. I just love it when I get the placement right. (IMHO, that is.)

I almost always include ribbon and gems on my cards. Even when they go to a man!
I just love bling so gems especially swirls, just love using them! Great stamped image, nice work!
I just love pearls/rhinestones/brads. I feel like a card is incomplete without at least one of them!
Love gems and pearls! I also love taking tiny buttons and layering on many coats of gold or silver embossing powder!
