These Gift Box Toppers are the Tops!

I don’t know about you, but when I was first flipping through my November/December issue of Paper Crafts magazine, my jaw dropped to the floor immediately when I saw the Gift Box Toppers by Clare Buswell on page 17 of the Tips, Tools, & Techniques column. I mean, talk about some clever and gorgeous ways to dress up—and personalize—our gift boxes this holiday season!

For example, in this Holly Leaves and Berries box topper, I just love the idea of a shaped embellishment that is stamped, embossed, and inked like this. And those holly berries? They add just the right dimensional—and extraordinary—touch!

I’m not sure when I’ve seen such an elegant tissue paper flower! It really makes a statement because it is so full and so fluffy!

And how about this vintage rosette? When creating box toppers, it’s all about the dimension, and I just love the way Clare has used paper folding to take this lovely embellishment to new heights. What’s more, it could easily be repurposed as an ornament, making it a bit of a gift as well!
