Hi! I know that there are a lot of different opinions when it comes to Valentine’s Day. It seems that everybody either hates it or loves it. Well, I’m not gonna lie. I love it.
I think it’s because it was one of my favorite days of the year in elementary school. I got to decorate my own little shoebox with a slot in it, and then I’d take it to school along with my little box of valentines to hand out to other students.
The whole class would go around leaving their little gifts in each box and then we’d inspect our loot and cute little cards. What’s not to love about that?
Anyhoo, I hope you love Valentine’s Day too. I love it so much that I’m actually planning a little Valentine’s Day party!
And what’s the first step to any party? Invitations! So I went to work trying to make a card that I could mass-produce to send to my friends. My go-to crafty item is patterned paper, but since I’ll be making quite a few of these and I’m not sure I’d have enough of any given paper, I thought I’d stick with white cardstock and stamps. I took inspiration from one of the make & takes we did at the Stampin’ Up! convention. Check it out!

I used Stampin’ Up! Daydream Medallions stamps, the Dear Lizzy date stamp, and the Let’s Party! stamp from American Crafts on this card, plus some bling. But there is more stamping involved in this card.
Behold: the inside!
My friends need to know the deets!
And no card is finished until the inside is filled.
Just a little tip: make sure you stamp everything on the inside and outside before you add embellishments. (I may or may not have learned that the hard way.)
What are your plans for Valentine’s Day? Leave me a comment by Monday, January 28th at 5 pm MST, and I’ll send one of you commenters a little mystery crafty Valentine treat!
Thanks for checking in!

I plan to spend a quiet evening with my hubby and a good movie!
I’ll be with my Valentine of 35 years, my dear sweet husband!
Cool invite! I don’t have any set plans for Valentines Day. I will probably watch a movie just like any other night. Thanks for sharing.

A romantic dinner with some wine with my Valentine are my plans!
for valentine’s day maybe just a dinner at home with hubby and my son.
Valentine with the family.
Every year my mom has the entire family over for a pajama party brunch. Each year a few more people get invited and now I think it is bigger than her Christmas Eve bash!
What a cute invite. Not sure what our plans will be. My kids are older and in high school now so all the cutsie stuff I used to do isn’t ass anticipated as it used to be. I think my hubby and I will call it a date night!

Love the invite, it could be used for other romantic parties. We are going out for dinner and a glass of wine like every other year to our favourite sea side restaurant.
A nice romantic dinner at home . My hubby and I have been married for twenty four years so we like to stay home .
maybe go out to eat–if anything at all
Well I dont usually have plans for Valentines day. My hubby usually buys me flowers but we dont do much. I usually come up with something sweet for my kiddos though. Craft wise anyway. Not sure yet what I am going to do for them this year. Hope everyone has a wonderful one though…
We usually don’t plan anything for Valentines Day. I just enjoy doing Valentines with the kids and baking goodies for their school parties. It seems everytime we make plans, we end up getting a snowstorm and my husband has to work, so now we usually just plan on a nice dinner at home.
I am spending Valentines Day cuddling up to my hubby. It’s -12 here and he is always so warm, lol.
My husband and I will go out for a nice dinner together after exchanging cards and small gifts. It’s a tradition we enjoy
Well, I don’t have special plans for Valentines day… but I hope he does!
I have no idea what we are doing yet. It will be my daughter’s first Valentine’s Day so I’m sure there will be some sort of fun.
I usually try to bake my son some cookies for Valentine’s Day.
No plans yet.
I will be on call for work…
If you ask one of us we would tell you it is Valentines Day everyday with us – we love each other so much it is really just another day – but we will probably make some steaks and seafood to make the night special! Thanks for the chance to win something mysterious!
wonderful card, love the elegant stamp with the bling details. My hubby and I will be going out to dinner together with our baby girl for her 1st Valentine’s Day =) Thanks for the chance to win a surprise =)
Cute invitations.
We’ll be traveling the day before, so I’m sure we’ll just be relaxing.
Just hanging with my parents, brother and my dog.
I will be staying home with the hubby. We’ve tried going out for dinner many, many times but the restaurants are always filled and the lines are long to get a table. We haven’t talked about a menu, but as long as I get a Russell Stover chocolate covered marshmallow heart (or 2) I will be a happy woman.
Dinner out, then: My sweetheart makes this killer cheesecake icecream in his Cuisinart (YES he is an artist in the kitchen) so we will top off the day back at home with ice cream and blackberries, mmmmmmm!
Have not planned anything yet but i guess I will cook a lovely meal and enjoy with my hubby
I plan on having a nice dinner at home with the bf! Thanks for the chance to win!
