A Few Favorites from CHA!

Holly A Few Favorites from CHA!

Holly Anderson

This past week, our editorial team spent our days walking around the Craft & Hobby Association show floor to see what’s new in the crafting world. As we were leaving the convention center on Tuesday, Stacy and I talked about how now that we’ve seen so much cool stuff, we just want to go home and create! (And maybe buy some of the things we saw when they’re available!)

I’ll show you some of my personal favorites.

First we have the Envelope Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers! As a card maker, I’m guessing you often find yourself scrounging for envelopes that will fit your cards, and sometimes still won’t find one that fits let alone looks pretty with it. With this cool new tool, you can make envelopes just the right size for your card and in a coordinated patterned paper!

Here’s a video to show you how to use it!

My favorite tags I found in the Cosmo Cricket booth. What great colors and I love how that ampersand goes off the edges. These are from the TV Dinner collection!

There´s definitely some pretty awesome things among all those we´ve seen here from this CHA, and I admit, this envelope punch board is also one of my faves, but I really find it hard to pick a favorit among all the gorgeous paperlines, as they´re all just stunning, and I have to admit, I´m totally addicted to beautiful papers, so I guess, I´ll be hoarding a lot here the next months as they show up everywhere he he he. Sorry I really can´t help it, but I so LOVE gorgeous paper as well as gorgeous ribbons, especially laces of all kinds and ofcause bling, but then you can also always make some really beautiful cards and LO´s right? he he he

  2. Yes – Loved your picks!

Have to admit that paper punch/envelope maker is really clever. Don’t have a single place to put another tool though! Guess I’ll have to stick to my scoreboard and punches.

  5. Ooooo…I am loving your picks. The envelope maker is *very* interesting, and that Dear Lizzy collection has me swooning (love the horses!).

Hmmm, I admit I’m a little stumped by those picks as “favorites” of the *whole* show. I like the Lucky Charm line by Dear Lizzy, and the tags are cute, but I’m not sure what is listed here is really squeal worthy. I was hoping that you’d have showcased a bit more… and a bit more variety. Are more posts and favorites forthcoming?

  14. I am setting aside money already for the envelope punch board. I have just started making my own envelopes and I love it.

I have been enjoying all of the picks from CHA, that envelope punch board looks cool, thanks for providing the video link! The clothespins are adorable – believe it or not I just picked up a pack of pretty clothespins that have “Things to Do” and some cute flowers painted on them at a thrift store – who would get rid of those? They are in my craft room waiting to be put to use. Thanks for sharing ALL of the pics, here and on facebook, if we can’t be there in person, then some cool pics are the next best thing!

  16. Dreama says:

Okay I have just adjusted my wish list and the envelope board has moved right to the top with a star beside it. I am always looking for the right envelope size for my cards.
Very nice new products coming our way.

Thanks for the fun sneak peek from CHA, Holly. Would love to have been there with you all!

  21. Lucy says:

How does one even go about picking favorites from a show that has so many products? I’m not sure I’d have chosen the same as you did, but I’m sure it’s an overwhelming task. Knowing myself as I do, I’d have forgotten my first favorite thing after seeing two or three more things. ;-)

  22. Debbie Kaste says:

Oh my gosh, that envelope punch is terrific! That’s a definite must have….
