Hello, my name is Betsy Veldman, and I’m a stamper.
Five years ago, I wouldn’t have used that word to describe myself as a crafter. Paper crafter, yes. Stamper, no.
But, the world of stamping has expanded so much in the past five years or so, and I feel like I’ve grown right along with it in my stamping abilities. Now there really isn’t anything I enjoy more than sitting down with a stamp set or two (or ten or twelve…yes, my stamp collection has grown too!) and seeing what I can create. So much design potential lies in those little bits and pieces!
Needless to say, I’m excited to join in on the Stamp It! 3 Ways celebration this week.
Keeping with the spirit of the issue, I chose a stamp set to play with today and created three cards for you. I chose to work with a set from My Favorite Things called Document it – Off the Chart, designed by Creating Keepsakes Dream Team member Laina Lamb (who I had the pleasure of meeting at CHA a few weeks ago!).
My first card would be perfect for the guy in your life, maybe for an anniversary, a birthday, or just to say “I love you”! I added the little “not to scale” pun by printing it onto cardstock using my computer.
My second card is a fun birthday card with a completely different feel from the first. This would be cute for a teen girl, or done in different colors it would be cute for a teenage boy as well.
My last card has a definite Valentine vibe to it…perfect for the math-nerd husband! 
One stamp set, lots of possibilities…that’s what the Stamp It! 3 Ways issue is all about! It will have you looking at your stamps in a whole new light.

I’m somewhere in betweeen. I have started using my stamps more on my layouts instead of just cards.
I’ve been stamping for over 10 years and have tried lots of different stamps and techniques…and I love to incorporate stamping into my scrapbooking. Thanks for the chance to win!

i’m an in-between…i can’t seem to take the time to get my cards to the next level.
Isn’t it fun to lose yourself in a stamp set?!?! That “love you this much” stamp jumped right out at me when I saw the set – love the card you made using it.
Even though I had started stamping a few yrs back, I would say I am somewhat in between. I mainly stamp on cards. I am wanting to step it up and do some of the techniques that I had seen. I would stamp more often if I had my little stamp collection more organized. What a great giveaway! Thanks in advance.
I think the biggest change has been the fact that I “try” different things more now than I did 5 yrs ago. Even if I am dupicating something, I change it somewhere along the way with a new idea.
I was very much a clean and simple or classy and elegant stamper, but in the last few years i’ve expanded into the vintage style and am having fun with it.
I have been stamping for a long time but my skills have really increased in the last 5 years. I try many more new things, use sketches a lot and even teach classes now.
I have been stamping for several years, but still have much to learn. Thanks for teaching!
I’m in the middle! I LOVE stamping, and only started about 2 years ago, but my collection is growing and I LOVE incorporating it into so many projects!
I love to stamp on cards and scrapbook pages. It is fun creating ne ways to use stamps.

I love the different cards, Betsy! The graph card is a hoot. What a great set! Five years ago I started buying a few stamp sets…Technique Tuesday (I had no idea how to use the clear stamps back then) and some wood mounted stamps from smaller companies.
I’d like to try to use my fab Hero Arts grid background stamp more creatively. I’ll be looking for ideas on how to do that with these great blog posts and peeks at this issue.
I started out stamping and cardmaking and did that a few years, pretty traditionally. I’ve taken a little side trip into digital work and trying my hand at digi scrapbooking too, but I was just thinking the other day I miss my stamping !

I have always been a stamper andmy style has not evolved that much. It’s still clean and simple. Or clean and lazy as I call it.

I’m fairly new to stamping. Even though I’ve purchased a lot of stamps, I’m still learning a lot about stamping. I need some tips on how I can get better at this and I bet your magazine has a lot of good ones. Enjoying what I’ve done, mostly cards and looking forward to incorporating stamping in my scrapbooking too.
I just started to stamp a lot more than i use to.I have just started to use my stamps stamps to make my own home made note books and notepads.I have made cards for a couple of years.I have been stamping for a couple of years but i consider my some where in between.
I just started down the road of this addictive habit, so I think I’m still developing my style. Love your cards!

I use dies and stamps. So I guess I am somewhere between…what I do not know .
I think I’m somewhere in between! I definitely want to be able to use my stamps for more things like background building, etc. The basics, I think I’ve got those down pretty well.

I started papercrating when I was introduced to rubber stamps. I was obsessed, then becasme obsessed with patterned paper and forgot all about my stamps. Lately I’ve been seeing so many beautiful projects, I’ve pulled them out again!
I’m totally with you!! When I started card making, stamping used to *scare* me… now, it’s every card and every style, I LoVe it!
I guess I’m a tried and true stamper by now. LOVE to play in my craft room! Thanks so much for all your inspiration here and on your blog!
Imjust starting out
I am an intermediate stamper. There are so many things I still want to do and learn using my stamps!
I still consider myself a neophyte. I use my stamps but am not creative with them like real stampers are!
I started stamping 10 years ago, but have taken many breaks along the way, so I think I’m just a level above beginner.
I should try using background stamps more instead of relying on paperned paper.
I am probably a intermediate stamper, when companies started making dies with the stamps I really got into it. Still trying new things and growing more each month. I love your work Betsy.
I’ve stamped for a number of years but blogs like yours have shown me that I am missing out alot. there are so many techniques that I have not tried.

I still get excited by the results of stamping and embossing… they always come out better and fancier!
