Roll with me for a minute, friends.
By now, you’ve heard it is 75 Creative Card Challenges week here on Paper Crafts Connection and Moxie Fab World.
And like all the editors at Paper Crafts magazine H.Q. in snowy Utah (and that really fabulous one in New Hampshire), this Go-to Gal is pretty dang excited about the issue.
I’m not going to bore you and tell you every single reason you should rush out and buy this issue. I mean, really, that’s a wee bit on the side of overkill.
But I am going to give you one very simple reason to check it out: 75 Creative Card Challenges just plain rocks.

I truly believe this is one of the funnest issues Paper Crafts has put out in years.
Here’s why: You’ve got 75 challenges in it. That’s seventy-five (!!!) calls to action to sit down, become one with your inner paper crafting genius and make stuff!
From making an itty bitty card to pulling something out of the garage to put on a card, this issue has a challenge for pretty much every kind of paper crafter out there. Whether you are new to paper crafting or have been crafting since the beginning of time, this issue is bound to have a challenge that appeals to you.
And you know what else? These challenges were inspired by real-life paper crafters themselves. Yep. Real-life ones. Not some made-up ones with artificial sweetener. (Wink!) In my world, that’s pretty cool.
One of the challenges I am particularly drawn to in the issue is Challenge No. 34, which calls for making a card that uses an entire package of embellishments.
This challenge was inspired by retired Go-to Gal and crafting extraordinaire Jess Witty, who blogged about using an entire package of embellishments on a card.
As paper crafters, we’ve all got stuff. Many of us have lots of it. This challenge is a great reason to dig into that supply stash and use it!
I went a little bit crazy last year, picking up a lot Flair-style buttons. My intentions to use them were good, but they’ve sadly sat on a shelf all this time. So I used the challenge as permission for myself to make two cards.
I used one package of Flair buttons to make this sassy little number for a friend.

And then I used the contents of a second package to make this one for another friend.

As simple as they are, I’ll call both of these cards a success when it comes to completing Challenge No. 34.
Seventy-four challenges to go.
Want to win some cool Flair buttons like the ones I used on my cards? You are in luck! In honor of the release this new special issue, my friends at bossyJoscie have offered up a prize! Tell me what your favorite kind of embellishment is, and I’ll pick one of you to win a $20 shopping spree at bossyJoscie!
Yours in challenge happiness,
Teri Anderson, Paper Crafts Go-to Gal

These are so cute-love te mousche ones. I’ve been really into doilies and wood buttons lately.
One of my fave embellies on cards are stick pins! Thanks Teri for the chance to win, I’d never heard of this company until today = they’re products look so adorable!!!
This looks like a great magazine! Very cool cards, love the buttons! My favorite embellishment to use is lace and gems. The embellishments I would love to use if I had a ton of money would be those pre-cut wood pieces from studio calico, the pre-cut chipboard pieces from Petaloo, stickpins, and lots of colors of seam binding.
That is my embellishment wish list, ha! Thanks for sharing.

You nailed it! I am a big collector of embellies that I tend to save for that ‘just-right’ projects. (Which means I forget about them as they migrate towards the deep, dark recesses of my stash.)
