Since it’s my first post of the year here on Paper Crafts Connection, and since my own personal New Year’s resolution is to have more FUN in 2013, I thought it might be a good time to talk about the myriad of ways there are to have FUN with Paper Crafts magazine.
There are the obvious answers, of course:

Subscribe to the regular issues that are always chock full of moxie fab inspiration and arrive in your mailbox 6 electrifying times a year.

Frequent this blog and the Moxie Fab World daily for endless and bounteous amounts of scintillating paper-crafting inspiration.
Leave comments along the way. Who knows? You may make a friend. You might find inspiring folks to follow. You may even win a prize.

Attend our promotional weeks in which we sneak peek the informational special issues that we have to offer at least once a month—sometimes even more!
But perhaps less obvious, and maybe a little more risky—but with the potential to be highly rewarding—maybe this year you might consider having a different kind of fun. The kind of fun that comes from challenging yourself. The kind of fun that s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s your boundaries. The kind of fun that can only be achieved from getting a little uncomfortable in your skin.
You know, put yourself out there. Try something new. Live on the edge a little.
For example, you could:
Enter our upcoming Stamping Royalty Contest. (Details will be announced soon!)
You could also think about throwing your hat into the ring for our Gallery Idol competition which begins later this year. Or the 2013 World Card Making Day Contest which will take place in October.
Or how about entering one, two, three, four, or all of our monthly Gallery Challenges? These are always tied in to the regular issues and are seasonal, challenging, and FUN!
In the Moxie Fab World, we have lots of ways to play including our weekly Tuesday Trigger and our Moxie Fab World Challenges.

Our current Tuesday Trigger ends on Sunday, January 14.
The Tuesday Triggers are simply a visual prompt to help spur your creativity and are, as rumor has it, a ton of fun. The Moxie Fab World Challenges are based on the trends featured in the Moxie Fabs column in the regular magazine and come from our promotional week celebrations as well.
But you know what? The one thing that might be the most fun of all? The one thing that could possibly bring you the most joy of anything I’ve listed so far? Submitting something to Paper Crafts magazine. Just one thing.
You might not get picked up.
But then again, you might.
And wouldn’t that be something? Think of all the FUN you would have seeing your work in print with your own little byline! Think how FUN it would be to get a check from Paper Crafts magazine as our thanks for helping us out! Think how FUN it would be to announce to the world that you’ve been published!
It’s up to you. Pick one. Pick all. But there are a whole lotta ways to have a fun 2013 here at Paper Crafts magazine, and I hope you all will join us in one way, another, or all of the above!
Dogging for some moxie fab fun,
~Cath
P.S. Or how about attending one of our paper-crafting classes at a Creating Keepsakes Convention near you? Or better yet, you might want to consider going on our Scrap & Paper Cruise at the end of September! Now that’s what I call a boatload of FUN!

Looking forward to another year of inspiration and fun.
Happy New Year Holly!
Thanks for all the inspiration!
There’s endless opportunities for fun here! (Thanks for the 40 free cards….great ebook!)
I’ve always wanted to submit something for the Stamping Royality Contest, I’ve just been chicken. I’ll do it this year
Wow you have shared alot of ways to have fun and get inspired for 2013.
I have always wanted to enter one of my cards in a contest but never thought they were good enough. Maybe this year I will make it a point to send one in.
Looking forward to another year of ideas and inspiration on this blog and Moxie Fab World!
You’re right, Kath. Maybe that’s what I should aim for this year. (Along with losing weight, eating better, getting more organized…those don’t sound as much fun!).
Stretching the boundries sounds good to me, I love the magazine, it has inspired me for so many cards in the last year. Who knows some might be good enough to enter for a challenge.
LOVE all of the inspiration and wonderful challenges. Looking forward to more F-U-N this year too, Cath
I love this post–it’s so inspiring!
Thanks for the nudge. One of my resolutions for this year is to enter more challenges and submit for publication. You’ve just given me the list where to accomplish these goals!
They ALL sound like FUN!!! Thanks for not only inspiring us all the time, but providing so many ways to just have fun!!!
You had me at F.U.N. Cath!!!
I’m looking forward to all of it. Long before I saw your post, I vowed to do at least one of those things this year!
Thanks for the inspirational post, Cath. The first thing I need to do is get off the computer and into my craft area. Easier said than done, but that’s tops on my 2013 to-do list. It’s going to be a good year, I can tell. Your enthusiasm is infectious.
Thanks for the post Cath – I am probably going to get a subscription, I am torn because my husband always has so much fun looking for the magazine and surprising me with it. One of my resolutions this year is to perservere to keep submitting and I am bound and determined to get published before this year is done. I work full time so it is difficult to do as much as I would like to, but my co-workers are so encouraging, they always want to see my latest creations – I love following the blogs and wish I had the time and know-how to start up my own – do they have a blogging for dummies site? (That may have to be a next year resolution)! I just love everything about making cards, the magazines, the supplies, getting my hands full of ink and having glitter on my cheeks… I could go on and on! I have learned so much from Papercrafts and have improved in so many areas thanks to all of the wonderful tips from the magazines, the blogs, all of you wonderful ladies and I can’t forget the incredible support and encouragement from my husband!
I haven’t gotten brave enough to submit anything yet, but I’ll try to work up my courage this year.
I’m new to paper crafting and my goal for this year is to not be afraid to create. I may not submit any of my creations any time soon but I hope to one day be able to do so. I love seeing your magazine and I hope to one day be as creative as all if you out there. Thank you for the inspiration!
I really hope I step up to the plate and submit this year!!! Thanks for the pep talk Cath!
love all the inspiration
I like the idea of stretching my boundaries. I’ll try…
Hooray for FUN! I am going to have more fun right along with you!
WOUW thanks sooo much for all the inspiration here again Cath. You always knows how to light the fire in us here, so now there´s only one way and that is forward LOL.
I hope, this is going to be the most fun year ever to all of us.
Looking forward to a fun and creative new year!
Love all the inspiration!
