Use Your Sentiment Stamps More

Hi friends!

Sentiment stamps are perfect for cards, but can they do more than convey a message? You bet! In the January/February 2013 Paper Crafts magazine the Stamp It! Techniques column has amazing examples of creative ways to use your sentiment stamps.

For example, create a design with a sentiment like Wida Miller did in her I Appreciate You card.

Not only does the card resonate how much you appreciate the recipient but the sun design adds to the happiness of this card.

Here are a few ideas I thought of for using my sentiment stamps:

  • Create a circle from an I Love You sentiment clear stamp for the center of a flower or stamp with multiple colors to create a custom background
  • Create an eye chart with a variety of alphabet stamps
  • Create subway art by combining words and images for various occasions such as Easter, Thanksgiving, or Get Well; use as a card base

What creative ways have you used your sentiment stamps on projects? I’d love to see your creations, so feel free to post a comment with a link to your projects that showcase creative sentiment stamp use.

Happy Monday and remember, have fun creating!

Love sentiments…here’s a card that I designed that focused on sentiments by Jane’s Doodles:

I’ve used ‘Happy Birthday’, ‘I Love You’, and ‘Get Well’ stamps for a background with 1 contrasting color to stand out. Add a little bling and ribbon or baker’s twine and you’ve got a card. I hope a lot of others post their ideas.

  4. Another shining example of Wida’s outstanding work!

What a great idea to use it in the image this way. I have ued sentiment stamps often before on a die cut and used as a focal point, but never like this, I admit, but will havae to think it over again, I guess. Actually just got an idea, I´ll have to try out now LOL.
