Maybe it’s my Danish roots, but I’m really drawn to folk art designs and Scandinavian prints. I love the clean lines and fun icons. These Nordic designs remind me of sitting in my Grandmother’s kitchen watching her make bread.

Here are a few images that have caught my eye as I’ve been out and about on the internet.

It looks like I haven’t been the only one to be inspired by this fun folk art design. Here are a few Paper Craft designers who have recently incorporated Scandinavian aspects into their card designs.

pin it button Folk Art InspiredThe challenge for this card was to say “thank you” in a different language. Teri Anderson’s stylized floral focal piece definitely goes along with the Danke sentiment to create a fun Scandinavian-inspired card.

  2. I am 1/4 Danish heritage. My grandmother came over to America on a ship “by herself” when she was only 13 years old after her parents had died. I can’t even imagine the struggles she must have endured. Would LOVE to win this amazing set!
