It’s true. Inspiration is everywhere! With Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I’ve been on the hunt for some fresh card ideas.

Of course, the traditional red and pink hues of valentines are always nice, but this year I wanted something a little more edgy. That’s when I discovered this trendy outfit by J.Crew:

I love finding inspiration from fashion! And even though I might not be able to pocket this $90 sweater, I can create a trendy knock-off with a little paper and ink.

PinExt Groovin with the Go to Gals: Fashion Forward ValentinesI cut a heart from cardstock using my Silhouette and added a stamped sentiment from Technique Tuesday. I found this triangle badge on Etsy from A Flair for Buttons. The bottom third of the inside of my card is covered with neon yellow washi tape from Freckled Fawn.

PinExt Groovin with the Go to Gals: Fashion Forward ValentinesI like to hand deliver most of my cards and wanted to carry the style all the way through to my packaging. Shipping tags and printed bags are my go-to supplies for creating cute envelope alternatives. Tuck in a few tiny sweets and you’ve got a quick and easy valentine gift that’s sure to brighten someone’s day!
