The crocuses are my favorite too – and ours are popping up already!
Sorry to say but the first sign of spring is the weeds popping up between the rocks in my AZ landscape.
I have a few….The later the sun is in the sky and see the buds of green on the trees.
We have had a very dry, warm winter here so its felt like Spring for several weeks now!
It looks like a great issue. My favorite sign of spring is the flower buds popping up and the daylight getting longer.
The daffodils are coming up in my yard.
My favorite first sign of spring is when all the snow melts and the air feels fresh, clean, earthy. I close my eyes, take a deep breath and smell the spring air. Love that smell!
Love the crocuses too, but also the flowering trees!
In Ohio, my favorite first sign is the sun….you don’t see it much during the winter!

Great minds think alike! I don’t have snow but I still love the little crocuses sprouting forth. They definitely herald spring’s arrival in my mind.
I know spring is coming when the tiny green leaves start sprouting from the Hydrangea bushes

Being in Greece means we don’t have a ‘real’ winter, but the happy noises of the birds tell me we’re heading towards warmer weather again.
My teensy white “Schneeglocken” are coming up in the yard. The tulip and daffodil greens are pushing through too. Can’t be too long now.

Our spring usually starts in early April, but even before then, I notice the longer daylight.
The smell of cut fresh green grass.
The birds chirping and singing!!!
My favorite sign of spring is the sunshine! It changes the air of everything its almost like morning time fir the earth, awakening from winter.
