Who’s having a birthday today? Is it Superman, Daryl the zombie hunter, or Verda Adu? Those were all great guesses but it is Matt, Art Director extraordinaire for Paper Crafts magazine. Today is Matt’s birthday and to honor him, we’re sharing a few icons that remind us of Matt.
Jennifer picked Daryl from The Walking Dead – she said she could totally picture Matt as Daryl.
Susan said: “Matt loves Notre Dame, and as a Michigan Wolverines fan, this gives us lots of fun ribbing. Based on last season, he wins that little contest hands down.”
Melinda shared this: “One of the things I think of when I think of Matt is the Star Wars costume club he belongs to, and one that I am slowly working towards joining as well. They create their own armor and attend fundraisers and non-profit events as the characters they have created. This is Matt as Verda Adu.”
Kelly enlightened us with this tidbit: “When I think of Matt, I think of McDonald’s Happy Meal toys. In fact, I often bring him Happy Meal toys because I love seeing that child-like grin spread across his face. And he always opens the packaging right away to see what cool trick his new toy does. Happy birthday to the man who will always be a big kid at heart!”
Kerri said: “Not only did Matt draw Spidey on his office wall, but he also taught me the difference between Spiderman and the Amazing Spiderman.”
Holly shared: “When I see R2-D2, I think of Matt because he’s such a Star Wars fan, he even helped his son create an R2-D2 Valentine’s Day box for school last year.”
And me, I remember seeing these funny signs around the office that were inspired by Star Wars characters. I so wish I had taken a picture, but any time I see Matt I think Star Wars.

My 5 year old niece and I have a battle over Happy Meal toys, so I think Matt and I would get along famously, except that I’m not really into Star Wars, Star Trek and all those. I do love the Valentine’s card box, though, and R2-D2 was my favorite character. Happy birthday, Matt! You sound like the kind of guy who will enjoy every minute of it.
