Today is the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, 16th president of the United States.
Some interesting things about Abraham Lincoln: he was president during the American Civil War, he was the first Republican president, and he issued the Emancipation Proclamation to end American slavery!
For every past president, on their birthday, a wreath is laid on their tomb on behalf of the current president in celebration of that president’s life.

I took this when I visited Lincoln’s tomb during my Route 66 trip in 2011.
Abraham Lincoln was also born in a log cabin (giving the name to the “Lincoln Logs” toy), so for his birthday we’re giving away Imaginisce’s Outdoor Adventure collection!
I know it’s camping, and not really log cabins, but I love the little details of this collection. So cute! Leave your comment by Thursday, February 14th at 5 p m MST for your chance to win!
Good luck and have a wonderful day!

Lincoln was my favorite of all the presidents. I’m glad you’re honoring him in some small way.

Lincoln is in my top 5 favorite presidents. Really sad how he passed. Happy birthday Abe!
Happy Birthday, Abe! Thanks for the chance to win!
Happy Belated Birthday Lincoln! Thanks for the chance to win!
I’m old enough to remember when we celebrated Lincoln’s birthday on Feb 12! I’ve never seen his tomb. That’s pretty neat. Even without actual logs the giveaway has great stuff.
Thanks for the chance! Happy Birthday, Lincoln!
This collection would be great for photos I have from Glacier and Yellowstone.
Outdoors, log cabin… it fits. Besides I’d rather camp in a cabin than a tent to be honest
I have 3 boys, so I am always on the lookout for outdoor papers. This collection will work perfectly for all of their outdoor adventures!
Wonderful creation
Abe Lincoln is one of the greatest men in history – he has made such an impact and left such an imprint on society. Our family visited Springfield Il. where it all started – what a very interesting, God-fearing honorable man! I remember we used to celebrate his and Washington’s birthdays at school, before they just threw the two together as Presidents Day and hardly gave them a second thought (many forget how important the past is to remember how we got to where we are today as a nation – they barely teach about our past presidents in school anymore… thanks for paying honor to him on what would’ve been his birthday. Oh and thanks for the chance to win some cool stuff!
That is a fun collection
I love outdoor/camping collections and Lincoln Logs are a favorite toy of my son, and husband lol. Thanks for the chance!
I didn’t know Lincoln’s Tomb was on Route 66! Thanks!
A great president, and a great prize. Thanks for sharing all these cool facts.
I enjoyed reading (and learning!) all about Lincoln. What a great collection of goodies, too. It’s often difficult finding the right things to make guy cards, but this may be it!
I love this outdoorsy package-great for masculine cards:))
Hands-down the best president in American history – happy birthday Honest Abe!
Would LOVE to win this collection!
I love to camp, so this would be perfect for me…hint hint
Oh, how I’d love these. I need to make a camping mini album (I got a chipboard book)–I just need papers.
This collection is really TOO cute!
Thanks so much for the chance to win!
Thanks for the chance to win this cute collection.
Very cute collection
Love this collection! Def reminds me of Abe Lincoln.
We took a trip a couple of years ago and my favorite stop was Springfield, IL where they have lots of AL exhibits.
Great post. Looks like a great collection for scrapping a vacation! Thanks for sharing.
