I decided that it was time my pantry got a makeover. I love that I can use tools and products from my craft room to decorate my home!

I used my Silhouette die-cutting machine and some adhesive vinyl to create labels for each of my glass canisters.

Here’s a short video on how to use the download along with your Silhouette to cut each of the designs out using adhesive vinyl. (If you would like to create additional labels, download the Mustachio font and use the type tool in the Silhouette software.)

Click here to view the video.

Once you’ve cut out each of your designs, remove the excess vinyl.  The Silhouette hook tool is helpful when removing smaller sections.

Carefully peel back the transfer paper, separating it from the adhesive vinyl backing. Your vinyl design should cling to it. Apply your design onto the canister. Use the scraper tool once again to press over your design.

Well…I’ve made my list. ;-) I have started going through books to donate. I should have started with an easier job, as it’s always hard for me to give away books, even when it’s for a good cause. Love those old jars. I have 1, but am always searching for more.

  26. Sharon Gullikson says:

I just bought a bunch of large, nice jars to put rice, flour, etc. in. I am SO going to do that. My spring project: I am making an Easter display for my terrarium. I am maybe going to spring for a Steiff (I don’t know how to spell it) bunny and/or chick. They are expensive, so who knows. But the display will be cute.

  27. I’m preparing a mixed-media wall decor project using an art canvas. I ant wait to finish it!

  30. Cynthia B. says:

As far as home decor, we’re actually continuing projects that we started last fall…
Now that it’s getting warm again, I need to find some plants to put on our patio in some planters that have been sitting empty. Also, my daughter had created a terrarium for Girl Scouts a while back, and we really need to rework the plants and rocks in there. I’d love to spruce up the outside of her jar with her name and some vinyl fun stuff!

  31. jengd says:

I made a small “Spring” decor piece for our living room. However, I’ve definitely been wanting to label my canisters- I have several I have to open to figure out which one I’m looking for.

  32. Liz Lumsden says:

Love your nice new labeled canisters. One thing I need to do is get my craft magazines under control. Some plain cardboard magazine holders and some patterned paper and my silhouette made labels should do the trick! I would love to try the trendy chalboard paper technique for the labels.

  33. Mary Lou H says:

I’m going to decorate mini-mailboxes for each of the holidays. For Valentine’s Day I decorated one with hearts, flowers, etc. I have one on the kitchen counter right now for St. Pat’s Day. I had to purchase more boxes so I’m going to have one for Easter if they get here soon.

  34. Jackie says:

Nothing says SPRING like flowers and leaves, so I have brought in a few pots of greenery indoors, including a tall white lily on the side table. Next on my list is to sew up bright and cheerful cushion covers for the living room.

  35. Becky Cowley says:

Thanks for the labels! My pantry is pretty organized, but perhaps I will organize and label all the clutter in my craft room. Then maybe I will create a flower/spring banner.

  36. laura m. says:

Don’t really have anything in mind except some spring cleaning ;)
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  37. Liz O says:

I am thinking of labeling the toy drawers on my kids playroom this will be such a neat way to do it, I wonder what can I use as a sealant so they won’t remove them, any ideas?… I am trying to organize my craft closet :) we are painting some walls with magnetic paint and chalkboard paint, you know for the playroom… thanks for the chance to win!
    Have a wonderful day!
    Liz

  38. Yes! I’ve re-organized my craft supplies to fit into my closet. My most used supplies are in an expedit unit and all others are in large shoeboxes above the unit on a wire shelf. I just need to make pretty labels for the front so your tutorial is perfect!
