It’s been trickling in steadily, I’ve been seeing elements of the great outdoors and woodland creatures everywhere, from home décor to fashion apparel. Woodgrains and rustic wood paneling, natural elements of burlap and canvas, foxes and hedgehogs have all led us into the woods. The great outdoors and the camping trend have hit the scene in full force!
I have a certain fondness for camping. I spent my childhood summers tent camping at Priest Lake, Idaho, picking huckleberries, blazing trails in the wilderness, enjoying hot summery weather by day and the most spectacular lightning storms by night. These days, living in Seattle where we an average of 58 days of sunshine a year, I’m not much of a camper. The thought of trying to get my children to fall asleep in a tent makes me cringe, so I would probably consider myself more of a “glamper.”
What I love most about the camping trend is it encompasses just about every aspect of the great outdoors! Tent camping, woodland critters, glamping and even teepees are embraced in a big way! It also coordinates with so many of the other trends. Arrows, triangles, and woodgrains compliment these outdoor-inspired icons so well!
I did a little Pinterest search and found a ton of inspiration!
I love every single aspect of this. I love the trees, the teepees, and even the wooden frame.
Adventure does await here! The woodgrain and tent evoke a desire to get out and explore!
Now that you’re feeling inspired, check out this product!
I’m honestly not sure what I love most about the Into the Woods collection from Lawn Fawn. The arrows, the adorable fox, or maybe it’s the deer all add up to a lot of woodland fun! Is anyone else ready for a hike?
The Happy Camper Stew collection from Jillibean Soup is complete with flamingos.
Happy Camper by Echo Park combines patterns with classic woodland icons.
Avery Elle just released Home Sweet Home and Happy Camper.
With all of that inspiration, I had to make a card!
Now for the fun part! I have both the Home Sweet Home and Happy Camper stamp sets to give away courtesy of Avery Elle! Comment below and tell me what your favorite outdoor activity is to enter to win! I’ll pick one winner. Just make sure to leave your comment by Friday, August 30th at 5 pm MDT. As for me, I love roasting marshmallows around a campfire!
Thanks for sharing a bit of your day with me!
