I know, I know. It’s been a long time since I shared one of my own cards with you, hasn’t it? I took a long break from my craft desk, but I knew it was time to make a mess and get creative again. Unfortunately for me, I usually have to sift through what I have for at least half an hour before I come up with a good idea, but at last, I felt inspired!
I’ve been wanting to practice my stamping skills lately, especially with a gold pigment ink pad I found from American Crafts, so I found this cute circle sentiment and these sweet arrows and made this card!
I also kind of fell in love with these journaling cards from the We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard collection, so I decided to use them on a card! Using a journaling card as your sentiment makes creating a card a cinch since the design work is done! For this one, all I did was create the mat for the journaling card, punch the border, and add a clothespin and twine (and a rhinestone) for a cute card!
For the last card, I decided to try using elements from both cards in one card! I used journaling cards to cut up as patterned paper and the pocket from the journaling card set as well as stamps including the arrows from the first card to make a birthday gift card holder.
What have you tried putting together that you didn’t think would work? I’d love to hear your comments. Leave me a comment by Monday, September 30 at 5 pm MDT for a chance to win some Fiskars punches, similar to the one I used to punch the border on the latter two cards!
Thanks for checking in!
