Hi again, crafty friends!
November is almost here. And, boy, I can’t wait.
To me, November means football games, Thanksgiving get-togethers, and post-Thanksgiving shopping.
And like a lot of you, I also see November as a time to say thanks. I always try extra hard during the month to say thank you a little more to those in my life for the goodness they bring to it.
I’m taking it to a new level this year by making myself a gratitude journal. Meet Exhibit A.
My plan is to take 10 minutes every day in November to jot down something in this little book about someone or something I am thankful for. It can be serious or it can be silly. But it’s got to be something I appreciate.
I think it’s really easy to make a project like this complicated and want to make a big scrapbook, complete with pictures, memorabilia, and heart-wrenching stories of gratitude.
That’s just not for me. This project is really about just writing down somewhere what I am thankful for. So I forced myself to not stress and put my little journal together in just a few hours.
I’ve amassed a small collection of journaling cards so I figured they would work swell for my journal pages. (By the way, here’s a peek at my journaling card stash. Please know this is only a small portion! Wink!)
I pulled out a bunch of cards that were somewhat similar in colors.
Then I lined them up and used my trusty Crop-a-Dile tool to poke holes at the top of each so I could hang them on a binder ring. You can find these rings at most office supply stores.
I pulled out a stamp set with a bunch of gratitude and thank you related sayings and stamped on the cards.
After that, I hung all my cards on the binder ring and put it out with a black pen so that I am good to go when Nov. 1st hits and can start documenting things!
Want to win a stamp set like the one I used to make my Gratitude journal?
Giving thanks for all of you,

PS. Wondering how this will look when it’s all filled in? I’ll be sharing pages from it periodically on my personal blog http://terisplace.wordpress.com/ during the month of November.
P.P.S. The last Wednesday of the month means it’s time for another Designer Challenge with the Go-to Gals. The Go-to Gals are blog hopping today and are sharing some projects they made with products from Avery Elle! Please check out the blogs of:
