If you’re anything like me, when you sit down to make a card, you need some direction or you’ll be paralyzed by the many possibilities in front of you.
Should I stamp? Paper-piece? Use washi tape, ribbon, or buttons? How will I compose the design?
But I’ve found that with a sketch, the scary prospect of a completely blank slate is lightened. Sketches are a card maker’s friend! That’s why we have two of them in the November/December issue.
Here’s the first one!
With this sketch, you can take it anywhere you want. You could stamp, use a fall color palette, spring color palette, premade embellishments, whatever! But you have a starting point, and that’s what’s most important.
Check out what a couple of our designers did!
The cute cluster in the top right was skillfully pieced together. It’s so cute and perfect for fall. And guess what? You can find supplies and instructions for Julie’s card on our web site by clicking here!
Would you like to try this sketch too? Give it a try!
And before I bid you adieu, how about a little giveaway? I have one copy of Card Sketches for Card Makers to give to one lucky winner.
Just leave me a comment by Thursday, October 31st at 5 pm MDT for a chance to win!
Thanks for checking in!
