Kim Kesti, Paper Crafts Go-to Gal

While the Go-to Gals and editors recently gathered in Utah to plan the 2015 production year, we were lucky enough to spend a few enjoyable hours at the headquarters of Fancy Pants Designs. Talk about fun stuff! The owner, Jodi Sanford not only arranged a darling make-n-take, but she also shared some sneak peeks of her new lines and allowed us to do a little shopping in her warehouse! What a generous soul.

I was instantly attracted to the Be Different Collection. As Mom of four boys, I really appreciate these patterns, colors, and themes. And, with two summer birthdays coming up fast, I thought I would get a start on some treat bags for our parties.

I started with a package of the large decorative tags, some additional paper, washi tape, and flair badges.

I also pulled out my pinking scissors (zig zag, if you prefer) to trim the edges of my bags. I love using these shears, especially when making multiple projects.

Here is a close up of two tags. You can see I just layered ephemera, tickets, flair, etc. I made half dozen of these tags in just a few minutes.

Lastly, a shot of three finished bags. After filling them with goodies, I trimmed the edge with my shears, taped the bags with washi tape, and then added the tags with some wide ribbon. I think the “Epic” bag on the end is my favorite! Ha, ha.

So, thanks again to Jodi from Fancy Pants Designs! In fact, she was so generous that I have a fun giveaway happening right now on my very own blog. Visit my blog to enter and win a prize package of amazing Fancy Pants products.

Have a monster-ific week!
