<p>Happy St. Patrick&#8217;s Day, everyone! Although my heritage does consist of an Irish past, I&#8217;d like to talk about the color <span style="color:#339966">green</span> today.</p>
<p>Wow, what a powerful color! You can ask just about any guy what their favorite color is and I&#8217;d bet they say “<span style="color:#339966">green<span style="color:#000000">”</span></span>. Why is that? It&#8217;s calming, it takes us back to nature and just gives us a refreshed feeling. Could those be the reasons why? And it&#8217;s amazing that <span style="color:#339966">green</span> compliments each and every color out there&#8230;it does ya know. </p>
<p>So at the moment, many of you aren&#8217;t looking at the most perfect <span style="color:#339966">green</span> grass, but we all know it&#8217;s coming since spring is just around the corner. What a wonderful color to see after those long, cold winters, right?</p>
<p>It&#8217;s the most recognized color to our eye, so that&#8217;s why it was chosen as our &#8220;GO&#8221; color! It&#8217;s the go-to color for me when I create anything masculine, and it&#8217;s the one color that you will see in each season. Spring (<span style="color:#ccffcc">mint</span>), summer (<span style="color:#339966">grass</span>), autumn (<span style="color:#99cc00">olive</span>)  and winter (<span style="color:#008000">holly</span>). Notice how the color green gets darker as the seasons move through the year.</p>
<p>I chose to put this delightful color into three categories: <span style="color:#00ff00">Lime</span>, <span style="color:#99cc00">Olive</span> and <span style="color:#339966">Grass</span></p>
<div class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 510px"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4010/4440284522_1d7ed7ec72_o.jpg" alt="4440284522 1d7ed7ec72 o Groovin&#39; with the Go to Gals I&#39;m Seeing GREEN!" width="500" height="469" title="Groovin&#39; with the Go to Gals I&#39;m Seeing GREEN!" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Lime Green: Holy guacamole, I love sour apple and the tartest key lime pie! The brightest collections of green just makes me feel so happy!</p></div>
<div class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 510px"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4019/4440284540_dd2b6dbd2e_o.jpg" alt="4440284540 dd2b6dbd2e o Groovin&#39; with the Go to Gals I&#39;m Seeing GREEN!" width="500" height="469" title="Groovin&#39; with the Go to Gals I&#39;m Seeing GREEN!" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Olive Green...olive you! Consisting of sage, pears and the color of money of course! This is the most calming hue of the group.</p></div>
<div class="wp-caption aligncenter" style="width: 437px"><img src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4003/4440284552_1f066ee74f_o.jpg" alt="4440284552 1f066ee74f o Groovin&#39; with the Go to Gals I&#39;m Seeing GREEN!" width="427" height="500" title="Groovin&#39; with the Go to Gals I&#39;m Seeing GREEN!" /><p class="wp-caption-text">Grass Green: I see a bowl of fresh veggies and smell fresh-cut lawns. Oh, we&#39;ll be seeing A LOT of this color today...yay!</p></div>

<li><strong>34 million Americans have Irish ancestry</strong>, according to the 2003 U.S. Census. That’s almost nine times the population of Ireland, which has 4.1 million people.</li>
<li><strong>Some American towns have “Irish” names.</strong> You could visit: Mount Gay-Shamrock, West Virginia; Shamrock Lakes, Indiana; Shamrock, Oklahoma; Shamrock, Texas; Dublin, California and Dublin, Ohio.</li>
<li><strong>The harp is the symbol of </strong><strong>Ireland</strong><strong>.</strong> The color <span style="color:#339966">green</span> is also commonly associated with Ireland, also known as “The Emerald Isle”.</li>
<li><strong>The Irish flag is <span style="color:#339966">green</span>, white and orange.</strong> The <span style="color:#339966">green</span> symbolizes the people of the south; orange, the people of the north. White represents the peace that brings them together as a nation.</li>
<li><strong>The name “leprechaun” has several origins.</strong> It could be from the Irish Gaelic word “<em>leipreachan</em>”, which means “a kind of aqueous sprite”. Or it could be from “<em>leath bhrogan</em>”, which means “shoemaker”.</li>
<li><strong>One estimate suggests</strong> that there are about 10,000 regular three-leaf clovers for every lucky four-leaf clover.</li>
<li><strong>Legend says that each leaf of the clover means something:</strong> the first is for hope, the second for faith, the third for love and the fourth for luck.</li>
