Hello, friends! How many of you are on Instagram? For those of you unfamiliar with this social media outlet, it’s sort of like Facebook for photos. You still follow people and can “like” and comment until your heart’s content, but the only thing you’re sharing is photos. Simple as that.
There’s lots of fun filters to choose from so you can take a picture on your phone and within seconds change the color, mood, lighting and then post it. Instagram also allows you to share all you pictures to Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr. Another perk…you can add hashtags (#) to all your photos. Similar to Twitter, if you click on that hashtag, it will show you all the pictures that have been taken by any user who has used that same hashtag.
As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, we had all six of our Paper Crafts Go-to Gals in town for our annual Editorial Board meeting. Right before we began our gab/eat/repeat meeting, we set up our very own Paper Crafts account on Instagram! And boy do we have some fun pictures to share from #PaperCraftsEdBoard:

While our Go-to Gals were here, both Heather Campbell and Laura Williams celebrated birthdays. Here are the two birthday girls blowing out their cupcake candles!

And it actually snowed while the gals were here. Yep, it was May!

Our Go-to Gals also got to participate in our November/December submissions evaluation meeting. Here they are gathered around the table as Susan presents the submissions for consideration.

And the gals also got new headshots taken for the magazine and blog. Here’s one of Betsy Veldman sitting on a chair on top of a bed!

One field trip took us to American Crafts. Here’s a whole display wall of gorgeous product!
Fun behind-the-scenes pictures, huh? The thing I love most about Instagram is seeing all the pictures of my friends, family, favorite TV shows, magazines, bands, stores, etc. Like anything new, we’re just getting started, but we would love for you to follow us. If you’re already on Instagram, you can search for us under “Paper Crafts Magazine”. We plan to share lots of photos of our crafty day-to-day life.
In turn, as our followers, we’d love to see your day-to-day pictures with our magazines. Whether you’re traveling abroad, at the beach, in the car, or in your own home, feel free to post pictures with #papercraftsmag. We can’t wait to connect with you even more!
See you on Instagram!

You may ask why basset hounds? There’s something about those sad, sweet eyes, their long, soft ears, and those big ole paws. I just can’t resist them! But honestly, coming home is when I truly love my hounds—they are so excited to see me that their whole backend wags, not just their tail. No matter the day I’ve had, they love me and want to be with me. Pure happiness!

So far this week, we have shown you gifts to give to guys, gifts for teachers, gifts for kids, gifts for moms, and now, the most common occasion for gift giving—birthdays! And we’re going to do it blog-hop style!
